| A Legacy
Gift can be considered when arranging your estate plans. Anyone
can arrange to leave a charitable gift from their estate when they
pass away. When you talk to your banker, insurance agent, lawyer
or accountant, ask them about leaving a gift to charity –
and think about making the Dominican Sisters a “charity of
choice.”
Some legacy gifts, like charitable gift annuities,
can provide income to the donor during their lifetime while the
residual goes to the Dominican Sisters at the death. The Dominican
Sisters follow the suggested rates of the American Council on Gift
annuities. For more information see the American
Council on Gift Annuities.

Sometimes
a gift is left as a
legacy – a thank you for gifts received long ago
– which is
given through a donor’s estate.
