Mary Jeanette Ohler, OP
September 3, 1911 – March 13, 2007

On Tuesday, March 13, 2007, Sr. M. Jeanette Ohler died at Mohun Health Care Center. She was born in Zanesville, OH, on September 3, 1911, to William and Margaret Grace (McElroy) Ohler. She entered the Novitiate of the Dominican Sisters of St. Mary of the Springs in Columbus in 1929 and made her Profession of Vows in 1931.
Sr. Jeanette earned a BA. from St. Mary of the Springs College (now Ohio Dominican University) and an MA from The Ohio State University. Her places of ministry were many and included:

She also served as assistant activity director at Mohun Health Care Center (1992-2000) and was a volunteer at the Motherhouse before retiring to Mohun Health Care Center in 2005.
Sr. Jeanette was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Magers. She is survived by siblings Virginia Wilson, Anne Grace Wintermute, Betty Marquis, and Don Ohler and by many nieces and nephews.
