M. Quentin Fox, OP
August 26, 1922 - June 6, 2008

On Friday, June 6, 2008, Sr. M. Quentin Fox died at Mohun Health Care Center. She was born in Providence, RI, on August 26, 1922, to John and Mary (Murray) Fox. She entered the Novitiate of the Dominican Sisters of St. Mary of the Springs in Columbus in 1943 and made her Profession of Vows on August 14, 1945.
Sr. Quentin earned a BE from Rhode Island College of Education, an MA in Elementary Education from Notre Dame University, and an MA in Theology from Providence College, RI. She also received a certificate in Library Science Education from St. Mary of the Springs College (now Ohio Dominican University). She ministered at St. Clare, Grosse Pointe, MI (1945-48, 1953-54); Our Lady of Peace, Columbus, OH (1948-49); St. Mary, Lancaster, OH (1949-50, 1952-53); St. Gabriel, Columbus, OH (1954-55); St. Mark, Brooklyn, NY (1955-58); St. Andrew, Flushing, NY (1958-63, 1968-73); St. Brendan, Braddock, PA (1963-64); St. Mary, New Haven, CT (1964-65); St. Timothy, West Hartford, CT (1965-68, 1973-75); St. John the Baptist, New Haven, CT (1975-76); St. Albert, Pittsburgh, Pa (1976-77); St. Leo, Pawtucket, RI (1977-78); St. Peter, Steubenville, OH (1978-79); and St. Philip, Columbus, OH (1979-82). Since 1982, Sr. Quentin has served as Coordinator of Library Services at the Motherhouse. She also attended meetings of the Catholic Record Society of the Diocese of Columbus.
Sr. Quentin was preceded in death by sisters Marguerite Fox, Mary Baker, Regina Fitzgerald, and Madeline Collins. She is survived by a sister, Rita McDonnell, of Providence, RI, and nieces and nephews.
