Mi Experiencia en el Centro

Conocí el Centro de Aprendizaje Springs por medio de los sacerdotes de mi parroquia, Sagrado Corazón, y luego la secretaria de la parroquia Santa Rosa me informó más detalladamente.

En febrero, fuí a la inscripción en la cual fuí recibida por la Hermana Maryann Lawlor, muy amable y me explicó como serían las clases, lo que me gusto mucho porque era uno a uno la profesora y yo, y que era gratis. Dias después, recibí una carta donde me informaron el nombre de la profesora y el día y hora de la clase.

Doy gracias a Dios, pués me tocó una profesora formidable, Mrs. Janyce Gilman, una persona que se preocupaba muchísimo para que yo entendiera y sobre todo que me ayudó mucho en el autoestima. Por cosas de la vida, tuvo que dejar de ser profesora.

Desde Noviembre, mi profesora es la Hermana Barbara DeCrosta; también está ayudándome mucho, con mucho amor y paciencia. Debo decir que el lugar también influye mucho, y cuando cada martes encuentro paz y amor.

Gracias a las hermanas del Centro y a su comunidad, las Hermanas Dominicas de St. Mary of the Springs, por el servicio que me están dando a mí y a la comunidad en general.

My Experience in the Center

I learned of the Springs Learning Center from the priests at my parish, Sacred Heart, and later the secretary of Saint Rose parish informed me of more details.

In February [2002], I went to enroll and was received by Sister Maryann Lawlor, who was very friendly and explained to me what the classes would be like, which I like very much because it was one-on-one instruction and it was free. Days later, I received a letter which told me the name of the teacher and the day and time of the class.

I give to thanks to God that I was touched by a capable teacher, Mrs. Janyce Gilman, a person who made sure that I understood and who helped me much in the area of self esteem. Because of circumstances in life, she had to stop being a teacher.

Since November [2002], my teacher is Sr. Barbara DeCrosta; she also is helping me a lot, with much love and patience. I must say that the place also influences a lot, and when I come every Tuesday, I encounter peace and love.

Thanks to the sisters of Center and their community, the Dominican Sisters of St. Mary of the Springs, for the service that they are giving to me and to the general community.
