Ministry of Prayer

“Prayer is like the
air we breathe.”

Prayer is an integral part of the Dominican way of life. Private prayer, community prayer, the liturgy of the hours, and daily Mass all are threads that weave the fabric of Dominican life at St. Mary of the Springs.

The community of Sisters is asked to hold the needs of others in prayer on a regular basis. It is what people of Church do for one another. St. Mary’s is a special place of prayer where many of the retired or infirm sisters sometimes accept prayer as a special ministry in itself.

On the prayer board the requests are posted…and remembered.
