Pastoral Ministry

As Dominican Sisters, we are involved in pastoral care in diverse settings. We can be found in hospitals, health care centers, hospices, prisons, homes, parishes, and dioceses.

As all Dominicans, we are called to meet the needs of the day. The sisters are called to respond to the special needs of people whose lives may be fractured by sickness, losses, loneliness, terminal illness, insecurity and disappointments. We serve as companions and signs of hope, giving comfort to people who are suffering. We help the others and ourselves understand the meaning of our fragile situation in light of Christ’s own passion and death. We share our hope in the Resurrected Jesus’ presence.

We have training, degrees and certifications, but our primary gift is faith in God’s love and purpose for each person.

For more information, see the website for National Association of Catholic Chaplains or email us.
